Feb, 2006. For the past five months I have been living in a car at the edge of woods — jobless and homeless and totally unable to find a way out. I can't sing, I can't dance, I can't scream loudly enough, but I can read and write. So here I am laying down tracks...hopefully the start of an online paper trail out of here. (Update: Miracles happen....if you are reading my story I am part of your proof.)

Goldfinches

The birds I saw were goldfinches - just been sent pictures. If I figure a way I might put them up. Very cute.

Off to a painting class...yet again in rain.

I have just finished reading your book this morning. I cried so much during it, and got so angry at the horrible things you have had to go through. You are such an inspiration to everyone. And such a strong person. I will never know how you got through such a horrendous time, you really are a star!! I smiled when you finally managed to escape the horrors and smiled even more at the end of the book when i read how you lifted yourself up and decided you wouldnt be beaten!!

I want to thank you for deciding to write your book and make me realise how thankful i should be for my life

Best wishes to you, and good luck in all you do

Hi Nur,
Don't think my book is available there, I'll check but don't think so. Although you can order it from here if you like, by clicking on the link over at the side of the blog, under the pink book cover. I don't think it takes too long to get to you, it's from Amazon.

Thanks for stopping to say hello, and thanks to everyone else too, it feels good to read your comments and know that people are reading.

Hi there Anya, read about your rough times in 2006-2007 in the latest issue of Reader's Digest (February 2008). I am a Singaporean born into an average household, and although I can't say I've experienced anything as terrible as you did in the past 2 years, I must say that everyone will definitely encounter roadblocks in the long long road of life. Heard that you currently aren't homeless anymore, that's definitely a good thing! ;)
Keep moving forward in life and don't let any little (or big) setbacks impede you!

Life does not always treat us kind and we are not always given choices. however, you are a true fighter. Something, both your mother and father should be proud of.

Your book is amazing, like many other of your readers, it took me just hours to read, totally gripping.

I hope that life treats you better than it has done, continue to be strong on your feet.
